DESCRIPTION
Pas De Deux is located on two symmetrical plots adjacent to the Concerto site and South of Ennead’s Ring building. The project features a hotel residence building that frames the district’s central axis as it terminates on the lakefront—creating a gateway into the site from the shore. Both structures are composed of intersecting volumes stepping up towards the central axis and seeming to reach out to each other across the open space like dancers in a Pas De Deux.
A dramatic Pas de Deux expresses the archetypal intimacy between two people. The two dancers move in a synchronized way, their movements responding to one another. Like dancers, the two buildings form a composition corresponding to the other. Slight variations in the building’s geometries and varied façade accents create distinction and harmony between the two.
The hotel offers approximately 300 rooms, a bar, a restaurant, and a rooftop swimming pool. The residential building includes a large ballroom and conference rooms, outdoor event space, a rooftop restaurant, and 130 residences.
